Spencer Dryden: drums
Peter Albin: bass
guests:

Notes:
-I removed the 2 second gaps between tracks, but there's still evidence that there were cuts on the original recording to remove audience noise between songs. Only the opening of Who Makes The Moves is missing as far as I know.
-There is a volume drop on the left channel on d1t06.

Can I talk about Robert Hunter for a while? Splendid lyricist, atrocious performer. I find his personal style quite offensive, actually. His act is to portray someone who's not acting, portraying, performing, pretending... It's this hyper-masculine thing of being "natural", spontaneous. Romanticism. The ironic reality is that it IS all an act, and if he just allowed himself to perform (instead of doing a kind of performance of non-performing, which is much more complicated and stupid), he might actually sound good. He has amazing depth; why can't he perform in a way that doesn't make him seem so bottomlessly shallow, so fascistically American? At least he comes off as literate, but I fell asleep when I went to see him in concert.
